Creating recipes makes logging future meals super convenient because you can select your recipe list directly from the Food Log. You create a recipe by building it in the Recipe page or by converting a previously logged meal on your Food Log page into a recipe with just a few clicks. You can navigate to the Recipe page by either using the convenience menu on the bottom ribbon (blue square with an ellipsis (…) or directly from the Food Log page by selecting the recipe book icon.
Once on the Recipe page, you’ll be able to provide a unique title, name the serving size (e.g., slice, scoop, piece, etc.), dedicate the number of servings this recipe will make (this is important since we utilize this information to accurately account for the macro and micronutrients per serving),add ingredients and even add specific instructions. Once you’ve input the necessary fields just click save and your recipe is ready for election from the Food Log.
Convert a logged meal into a permanent recipe
Another convenience we provide is turning a meal you logged in the Food Log into a recipe. From the Food log simply select the ellipsis on the right, just above the specific meal you want to convert into a recipe. The drop down offers you a “save meals as recipe” option. Selecting that option will take you to the Recipe page. Once there, give your recipe a title and update the necessary fields. That’s it!
