Logging Foods is Easy, Accurate, and Intuitive

Built on a Trusted Foundation

Accurate food tracking starts with a reliable database. That’s why TCT is built on a vetted food database of over 1.4 million items with detailed nutritional, ingredient, and allergen data. Unlike other apps that rely on user-submitted entries, our database ensures consistency and accuracy you can trust. This strong foundation is critical when you're analyzing symptoms, spotting trends, or monitoring nutrient intake with confidence

Multiple Ways to Log, One Seamless Experience

Whether you’re scanning a barcode, searching by text, or entering a new food manually, TCT makes logging your meals quick and intuitive. Our built-in label reader lets you easily add branded or custom foods not already in the database—capturing nutrition, ingredient, and allergen information with precision. Your entries not only enhance your personal records but also contribute to a growing global food resource

Smarter, Faster Food Logging

To save you time, TCT gives you quick access to the foods you log most often. Recently entered foods automatically appear at the top of your search history, and you can build a personalized “favorites” list for one-tap logging. Have go-to meals or recipes? Create them once, log them in seconds. It’s all designed to make tracking fast, efficient, and tailored to your lifestyle

How It Works

Scan It with the Barcode Scanner

For packaged and branded foods, the barcode scanner is your best friend. With access to over 1 million barcodes, scanning ensures you're logging the exact product you’re eating. If we have the barcode but not the ingredient or nutrition details, TCT will prompt you to use the label reader to add that info. Why? Because accurate ingredient data is essential for connecting your foods to potential symptoms. The more complete your log, the more powerful your insights

Speed Things Up with Favorites

Your time matters, and logging shouldn’t slow you down. With TCT’s Favorites feature, you can tag any item—whether it’s a full meal, a recipe, or a single item like your morning coffee or a banana—for quick access. Your personalized favorites list keeps your go-to foods just a tap away, streamlining your routine and making consistent tracking faster and easier. The more you use it, the more efficient your logging becomes

Smart Text Search That Learns With You

Our text search feature is built for speed and convenience. When you open it, you'll see a list of “Common items for current time”—foods you frequently eat at that time of day—so you might not even need to type. If your item isn’t listed, just begin typing. As you do, a “History” list will appear with items you’ve previously searched. Still not there? Scroll through our “Common” and “Branded” sections to find what you need

Use the Label Reader When Foods Aren’t Found

If your food isn’t in the database, don’t worry—just use the label reader. You access the label reader by first selecting the recipe icon and then selecting "Custom Foods". Select from your list or add a custom food and follow the prompts. Snap a photo of the nutrition facts and ingredient list, and we’ll guide you through entering the details. This ensures your logging remains accurate and complete. Plus, your contribution helps others—each new food you add supports a global database that benefits the entire TCT community

Build and Adapt Recipes with Precision

The recipe builder lets you create custom meals with exact ingredients and portion sizes, making future logging quick and consistent. If you make small changes (like swapping Heinz ketchup for Del Monte ketchup), you can adjust just that ingredient—without changing the full recipe. You can also turn any previously logged meal into a reusable recipe with just a few clicks, helping you track your diet more efficiently over time
